  1. Life Spans
    1. The average life span of a dolphin is believed to be 45 years. Some dolphins may live well into their sixties.
    2. Age can be estimated by periodic growth rings on the teeth.
  2. Deaths
    1. Dolphins in the wild die from one or more of the following: pneumonia, parasites, predators, pollution, commercial fishing, depletion of food and habitat, and capture for sea parks and aquarium.
